Savoury and Spicy
My hosts took me to eat Thai cuisine at the best place in the old town: Le Thai. It's a hot spot, and apparently of such good quality that you have to book in advance or be prepared to wait before getting a table. From its appearance, it doesn't look very fancy or elaborate. In fact, the only complaint is that half the restaurant is open air, and despite the outdoor heaters, it can still be a little cold. However the food comes quickly. When ordering your plate, you have to choose the "level" of spicy, 1-5. I chose one, and quite honestly it was spicy! Maybe because I'm not used it. Still, don't be too risky and be honest about your ability to withstand heat! Besides the spice, it's very tasty.
