Cotentin Peninsula

Très bel endroit de la côte nord-ouest de la France ; presqu'île de charme, qui se "jette" dans la Manche. Pourtant mise de côté par les touristes, cet endroit ferait le régal de beaucoup d'entre nous. Côtes rocheuses impressionnantes, vastes landes, plages séduisantes, mer à perte de vue et un caractère qui se ressent par le paysage sauvage mais aussi de part les courants et vents forts qui parfois se font ressentir. Une région qui regorge aussi d'un patrimoine non négligeable et je pense notamment à la grande rade de Cherbourg (qui est d'ailleurs la plus grande rade du monde).

Very nice place in the north-west coast of France; charming peninsula, which "throws" in the Channel. But set aside by tourists, this place would be a delight for many of us. Impressive rocky coastline, moorland, attractive beaches, endless sea view and a character that is felt by the wild landscape, but also because of the strong currents and winds that sometimes are felt. A region that is also full of a significant heritage and I think especially the great harbor of Cherbourg (which incidentally is the largest harbor in the world).
