When we went to Le Grand-Bornand, we slept in Chinaillon. Located at 1300m above sea level, this small village overlooks Le Grand-Bornand and marks the beginning of the ski area. However, it's not a ski resort. Chinaillon has preserved its heritage (chapels, farms, and cottages from the 17th and 18th centuries) in the heart of an unspoiled natural environment.
