Wine and ocean views in Essaouira
If you can tolerate lots of French people in a small area, then Le Chalet de La Plage on the Essaouria beachfront is one of the city's best (and only) places to have a refreshing alcoholic drink while enjoying the sunshine and sea breeze. It's a perfect place to go around sundown and enjoy the sun setting behind the fortified city walls of the Old Medina.
They have food, but ve cares? This isn't a place to eat. They have Heineken, Flag, and Casablanca (the latter two are Moroccan beers), red and white wine, and I even believe they have a rudimentary liquor cabinet. I know it sounds strange, but after an adventurous week getting lost in the Medina of Marrakech, hiking the High Atlas in Amizmiz, and exploring the monumental Kasbahs of Ouarzazate, you'll want a few hours of terrace, sunshine, and cold beer.
