Lauca National Park

Located 145 km. away from Arica. Lauca National Park is unique in the world, and was declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, due to its lake being so rich in flora and fauna. Lake Chungará is 4570 meters high. It is ​​137,883 hectares large. Here, there is rain in summer and snow in winter, and the weather is dry. The Cotacotani lakes are very interesting, and their main attraction is their emerald waters. These are a series of lakes, interconnected due to volcanic eruptions. Another tourist attraction is Lake Chungará, located at an altitude of 4570 meters, considered to be the world's highest lake.
