Amazing salvaged/retro furniture shop

LASSCO Ropewalk is a truly amazing store to find vintage and salvaged furniture for your new flat. Seriously, I felt like I was wandering around a museum! You can find everything from pillows made from recycled coffee bags to antique store lettering, old flags, antique maps, old theater chairs, and every kind of decorative knick-knack you could imagine. If I lived in London, it's probably the kind of place I'd blow my salary on (thankfully, or not, I don't live in London and my hometown has nothing which even comes close). Speaking of the prices, when I entered I was bracing myself for astronomical prices on even the most basic items, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the prices were spot on and very fair. Sure, a lot of it is pricey but one-of-a-kind salvaged furniture tends to be pricey. There are, though, lots of smaller items in the 10-50 pounds range that would make a great buy for the house or for a gift.

LASSCO is on the same street as the Maltby Street Food Market so I'd suggest heading down on Sunday morning, having a few Bloody Mary's at the market, then having a look around LASSCO Ropewalk for an upscale souvenir.
