Las Campanillas Pond

L'estanque de las Campanillas ( ou l'étang des clochettes en français) a été créé au 17 ème siècle à la même époque où le parc du Retiro a été réalisé. J'aime beaucoup l'histoire de cet étang. A l'origine au milieu de l'étang se trouvait un pavillon chinois à l'intérieur duquel était accroché des cloches. Les cloches sonnaient avec le vent. C'est de cette histoire que vient le nom de "estanque de las campanillas". Aujourd'hui, il n'y a hélas plus de clochettes, ni de pavillon. Vous pouvez par contre toujours voir le joli lac.

The estanque de las Campanillas (or pond bells in French) was created in the 17th century at the same time as the Retiro Park has been completed. I love the history of this pond. Originally in the middle of the pond was a Chinese pavilion within which hung bells. The bells were ringing in the wind. This is the story that has the name "estanque de las campanillas". Today, there is unfortunately more bells or flag. You can always see through against the beautiful lake.

Creado en el siglo XVII, al mismo tiempo que el Real Sitio del Buen Retiro. En su origen, existía un templete de estilo chino en la mitad de la isleta, del que colgaban campanillas que sonaban con el viento. Actualmente el templete ya no existe y de aquel originario estanque sólo queda la isleta.

Created in the seventeenth century, while the Real Sitio del Buen Retiro. Originally, there was a Chinese style pavilion in the middle of the island, from which hung bells sounded in the wind. Currently the bandstand no longer exists and that original pond is only the island.
