Landslide of Palon

Il Monte Bondone, migliaia di anni fa si presentava in modo molto diverso, soprattutto il versante rivolto verso Sopramonte e Candriai. Una frana, generata proprio dalla vetta rocciosa del Palon dal quale prese il nome, invase tutta la bella vallata ricca di vegetazione rigogliosa, cambiandone completamente il profilo geologico e la biodiversità. La vita fra le rocce non è facile: poca fauna sopravvive fra questi grandi massi, la vegetazione detta pioniera si è adattata anno dopo anno alle dure condizioni di questo ambiente. Oggi, camminando lungo il sentiero che da Sopramonte raggiunge Malga Brigolina, si possono osservare questi massi giganteschi e questi alberi nati dalla poca terra rimasta fra una roccia e l'altra.

The Monte Bondone, thousands of years ago it appeared very differently, especially the side facing Sopramonte and Candriai. A landslide, generated from its rocky summit of Palòn from which it took its name, invaded all the beautiful valley filled with lush vegetation, changing completely the geological and biodiversity. Life among the rocks is not easy: little wildlife survives among these large boulders, vegetation that has adapted pioneer year after year to the harsh conditions of this environment. Today, walking along the path from Sopramonte reach Malga Brigolina, you can see these giant boulders and trees grown from these little land left between a rock and the other.
