Greifen Lake (Greifensee) is 11 km east of Zurich, and is the second longest lake in the Canton of Zurich (6 km long, 1.6 km at its widest and a maximum depth of 32 meters) and is fed by the river Aabach. A boat sails throughout the year between Maur and Uster, which also allows bicycles. From spring to autumn nostalgia trips are offered on the steamboat Greif (the oldest steamboat in Switzerland, built in 1895).
