Beauty and biological richness
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (Austin) is an organization that was founded in 1982 to protect and conserve native plants and natural landscapes of North America. Up to 30 percent of the world's native flora is endangered. The Wildflower Center was intended to help preserve and restore the beauty and biological richness of North America. The Center's garden is home to many native plant species of central, southern and western Texas. Native plant information can be found within the network, a database with over 7,200 native species available.
