Full of good karma
Meeting Meena and family was one of the experiences that I most fondly remember from this trip to India. On the way to Bhagsu McLeod is the Meena's store-workshop, a small room full of good karma. The shelves are full of wood carvings, stones of all kinds, large rocks, minerals and Tibetan bowls. A dreamcatcher hung over our heads, necklaces with stones set into macramé on the ground, on some simple cushions the ever present company of Meena and brothers. Behind the glass and wood counter, very close to the stones, Meena's always smiling. The morning I started the course (a friend and I) saw a strong cow go to the counter, Meena immediately removed from a huge bag a package containing cakes for the cow, when the package was empty the cow was encouraged on his way, and the cow, without hesitation, turned and continued up the street.
