La Serena hotel

The quality is sensational! The poolside terrace, sense of peace, and service are unbeatable. We arrived at 4pm to eat and thought they wouldn’t serve us, but they did serve us and not only that but the service was incredible!

As a starter, we ate fried marinated fish and caramelized watermelon salad with duck breast and poppy seeds (sensational), and for the main course we had a shrimp paella and a watermelon sorbet with basil as a refreshing dessert. Everything was extraordinary! A sea of sensations! We’ll definitely go again!

Passing the threshold into La Serena is like entering another world; a world filled with jazz, light, serenity, refinement, and hospitality. Oh, and Elia greeting us with a smile and offered us a glass of champagne.

The terrace overlooking the roofs of the fishermen’s homes has an enchanting pool surrounded by small cactus. The rooms overlook the Mediterranean.

The artichokes with Iberian ham and flounder over risotto are delicious, especially when washed down with a good local white wine.

Oh, and the Turkish bath! You should go as many times as you can, either alone or as a couple.
