Rue de la Barre

Pass just behind City Hall and place de la Loge de mer, the little rue de la Barre is one of the oldest in the historic heart of Perpignan. It's home to many shops that will delight fashionistas, and in the fourteenth century, it was where the cattle market was held and butchers hung their pieces of meat at a bar. Hence the name of the street.
