Nieuwmarkt square

The new Market Square is near Chinatown and the red zone. It's from the 15th century and has functioned as such. It's one of the liveliest places in the city. Artists show off their talents, there are fairs, carnivals... This is where everything is and where it's often concentrated revelry and liveliest kittens. It's also surrounded by beautiful historic buildings. The Chinese living in Amsterdam gather here to celebrate their new year.
