La Perla Theatre

Opened in 1864, this neoclassical building was designed by John Bértoli Corsican. It's named after the Virgin of Montserrat, known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean. The structure was seriously damaged by the 1918 earthquake and a fire ended up destroying it. Francisco Doria and Francisco Gardón Porrata used the same facade to rebuild the building in 1941.
