South Padre Island

This was one of the eight locations where atomic bombs were tested. It was first called Santiago Island, but later a church was built here by the Padre Balli to convert the Karankawa Indians, and the name was changed accordingly. It's a great place!

Delicious food, nice weather, safety place, great view and fishing.
