Castillo de La Iruela

Se encuentra en las faldas de la Sierra de Cazorla, coronando el valle del Guadalquivir.Su bonito castillo lo tiene colgado en una peña sobre el mismo pueblo, es de origen templario, del que destaca su torre del homenaje. Fue declarado Monumento Histórico en 1985. Actualmente, entre el castillo y la peña se ha creado un foro o anfiteatro donde se realizan actividades artísticas, siendo reconocidos los espectáculos pirotécnicos realizados en él con motivo de las fiestas de agosto, en honor a la Virgen de los Desamparados. Posee tambiés la Iglesia de Santo Domingo, construida por orden de Don Francisco de los Cobos dentro del recinto amurallado del castillo. Está dedicada al patrón de La Iruela, Santo Domingo de Silos. Os recomiendo si estáis en la sierra dar un paseo por este agradable pueblo.

It is located in the foothills of the Sierra de Cazorla, crowning the beautiful castle Guadalquivir.Su Valley has it hanging on a rock on the town itself, is of Templar, which highlights its keep. It was declared a historical monument in 1985. Currently, between the castle and the rock has created a forum or amphitheater where artistic activities, being recognized the fireworks made it the occasion of the celebrations of August, in honor of the Virgin of the Helpless. It has tambiés the Church of Santo Domingo, built by order of Don Francisco de los Cobos within the walls of the castle. It is dedicated to the patron of The Iruela, Santo Domingo de Silos. I recommend if you are in the mountains for a walk in this pleasant village.

La Iruela, hace escasos cinco anyos a 1Km. de distancia de Cazorla, hoy día, prácticamente se unen. Recomiendo visitar este pueblo siempre que se vaya a Cazorla, mismo ambiente pero muchísimo mas pequeño. Apenas cuatro bares en sus calles son suficientes para tomarse unas cervecitas.

The Iruela, just five anyos ago with 1Km. Cazorla away today, almost together. I recommend visiting this town whenever you go to Cazorla, same environment but much smaller. Just four bars in the streets are enough to have a few beers.
