I went to Havana with my family and grandparents this past summer! it was an amazing trip! We took a tour bus to old Havana and surrounding areas. This is by far my favourite picture. This is my nonna. She is the backbone behind my dads side of the family! at almost 80, she still does all the cleaning, cooking and still manages to make the best food I've ever had!
The streets, squares, cathedrals and monuments of Old Havana should be seen while taking a stroll. You will be able to see colonial homes, private homes with doors, as well as: art galleries, palates (home cooking at a small cost that far exceeds the delicacies of the restaurants on the island). By walking around you can reach the Bodeguita de Enmedio, the famous tavern (much like a Spanish bar) and have a mojito at the same place as did other celebrities (the most famous, Hemingway and Guillen).
