This is a place where time moves in a different way. Between rushes, reeds and a maze of canals, the Great Briere is a marsh area known as the Black Country because of the abundance of peat in its subsoil. The flora and fauna is rich and won't leave you indifferent. Gradually, the marshes bewitch you. Channel by channel, you gradually get to know all of this habitat, which is only surpassed by the marshes of the Camargue. Its flood plains make you think that you are in the most idyllic place.
