The continuous water supply has mystified people and it is well worth a visit.

La Fosse Dionne is situated in the center of the old town of Tonnerre. It is a source of water, with a mysterious green blue colour, and it is the second deepest source of water to be found in France. The continuous water supply has mystified people and it is well worth a visit.

A not wash like other

If Burgundy is a point of honor to rehabilitate its washing, there are some who have a special charm. La Fosse Dionne part of those. Covered around the round pool full of water make the place a pleasant place conducive to romantic ballads. However, the interest of the pit is not limited to the fact that it was used as a laundry. Indeed, the crucible is throwing up a resurgence of water dripping along cracks overlooking the city of Thunder plateau. Virulent in the heart of the village today, its blue-green water was once the subject of a cult devoted to the goddess probably Divonna, which gives it its name today.
