Theatre La Fontaine d'Argent

Il nome di « Fontaine d’Argent » questo cabaret-théâtre l’ha preso dalla fontana situata a pochi metri dal locale. Che a sua volta non si capisce perché si chiama così...Almeno è quanto ci sta scritto sulla placca affissa al muro, che racconta che la fontana fu costruita nel 1758, ma che l’orgine del suo nome resta a tutt’oggi sconosciuta. Eppure la fontana è davvero bella. Molto semplice. Due grandi facce, probabilmente due turchi, visto il turbante che cinge loro il capo e la moda delle « turqueries » che impera in Europa all’epoca, spruzzano con visibile sforzo il getto d’acqua dalla bocca al bacino che la contiene. Di turco, la Fontaine d’Argent, ha ben poco, se non i cuscini che ricoprono i sedili del minuscolo teatro che si trova nel sottosuolo. 40 posti, stretti stretti, non di più. E una scena che non supera i quattro metri quadrati. Al primo piano un minuscolo bistrot, dove, prima o dopo lo spettacolo, è possibile « grignoter » qualcosa. Il verbo indica il fatto che quello che si mangia non è un vero pasto ma qualcosa che ti riempie lo stomaco. Piatti sfiziosi, tapas, taglieri di formaggio, insalate miste, foie-gras. La programmazione della Fontaine d’Argent è sempre all’insegna del buonumore, nella tradizione classica del cabaret. Con un’abbondanza di « one man show », molto probabilmente, a causa dell’esiguità della scena. Nel complesso un indirizzo destinato a un pubblico estremamente selezionato. Quasi un passa-parola...D’altra parte il locale è sempre pieno. La qualità degli spettacoli attira ben più dei quaranta spettatori canonici che si stringono gomito a gomito nel teatrino. È consigliato prenotare.... Datant du 16 ème siècle, cette fontaine fait l'angle de deux rues dans « la vieille ville » d'Aix en Provence. C'est l'œuvre de Georges Vallon et Jean Chastel respectivement architecte et sculpteur. On remarque que les deux visages sont ceux de deux turcs (représentation à la mode à l'époque). Quant à son nom, il est probablement dû à son coût, puisque sa construction à nécessité un procès pour en détourner la source. Cette fontaine surprend par son emplacement et merite le détour !
