The Fenice in Venice
The Fenice theatre in Venice, is in the area near the main square in San Marcos and was destroyed by serious fires several times, just to be restored and allowed to re-emerge as a phoenix from the ashes. It was built in 1790, it was the meeting point and leisure centre for Venetian aristocracy, it hosted and continues to host important operas such as Rigoletto, La Traviata, I Capuleti ei Montecchi and other works from the most important Italian and international artists. It is built in an old building, inside has five galleries which are particularly elegantly decorated consisting of carved wooden balconies.
With a total of five galleries and a very large audience, it has a total capacity of 1,076 seats. It is the ideal place to enjoy the pleasure of a classic from the forgotten opera.
