Good place to buy products but not to eat
Me and my husband stayed in Merida, on June 13. We wanted a place for tapas and almost everything was closed. The place "La Dehesa del Castuo" was the only one open, by our hotel. It was ideal. Next to the Roman Theatre and the sausages from Extremadura are delicious! As we were tired from all the walking we sat down at 18:30 pm and ordered 2 beers and some tapas. But the lady who attended us didn´t let us finish talking. She told us that the kitchen was closed. As it was hot it was like we were waiting for it to open the kitchen. We ordered more tapas and 2 drinks. Well ..... the drinks we served.
The tapas dish almost flew. But as the meats and cheeses were delicious, the beer was cold, we were thirsty, hungry and had tired feet from walking, and everything around was closed, we had no choice but to stay there. The bad one was when coming back to our hotel, we saw a block of the street restaurants already open. It would be better if we had gone to the hotel to rest and then out to eat. Worth going there to buy products from Extremadura . To eat .......... better go to the lunch box in the corner.
