La Cote de Boeuf
I have been several times to The Côte de Boeuf, because it is a simple, cozy place, with home cooking and a very good value for your money... especially if one considers that, as the restaurant's name suggests, it prepares very delicious grilled beef chops. One can eat the set menu for € 12, including, for example, a salad or a "terrine" (homemade pate), the usual chop and a mousse with chantilly. The wine, not included. But traditional way is to order a pitcher (pichet) of 250 or 500 cl of local red wine(Anjou), adding 4 or 6 € to the bill. It is usually necessary to book, because it is a small restaurant.
