La Case à Popo

Walking through the gardens of the Domaine de Severin distillery I found this little wooden house. It is apparently the former home of Aubertan Marie Denis, otherwise known as known as "Popo". He was a distillery worker between 1950 and 1970, and was responsible for transporting the bagasse (waste from sugar cane and ground) from the mill. Inside the house there are working tools of the day, furniture and even newspapers from the era.
