Magical Medieval Place
In our last trip around Spain, my husband, smallest daughter and I went to Vitoria to the Hostal la Casa de los Arquillos. When we got there we saw that there was no elevator, but Mrs. Rezzu was so charming that we didn’t hesitate to leave our things in the entrance and go up to the reception on the first floor and then to see our room in the second floor.
My daughter and I fell in love with the place, but my husband complained that there was no elevator and that he didn’t want to carry our things, saying we women always carry too much stuff. We didn’t care and managed to carry our bags up to our room. It was worth the effort. It was a magical place, like being in the Middle Ages. From the skylight in the roof we could see the church’s dome with its clock and we could hear the church bells every hour. It was wonderful, I want to go back.
