Juan Quintana
Edwardian residence
I recently had the honor of attending a meeting at Gean House and really was very impressed with the place. This residence dates back to 1912 during the Edwardian era and has real character. The rooms, staircases, gardens, fireplaces and apartments transported me back in time. Gean House is named after the cherry trees in the gardens, and was a gift from local magnate Alexander Forrester-Paton to his son for his wedding. At present, it is used as a venue for weddings and similar events, and guests have the opportunity to spend the night here. It is also used as a conference center, and in the holiday season, Christmas lunch is served Monday to Friday.
