El Guisante Verde Project
Cuisine, art, and music
As I was strolling through the so-called “Little Seville,” I found this small tavern which is a perfect place to try bite-size morsels of Extremeño cuisine like codfish brandade, game in aged mustard sauce, yellow-tomato salmorejo with pistachios, or sugar beets with tuna belly. This food is, of course, paired with regional wines bearing the D.O. Ribera del Guadiana; we had the Viña Puebla Selección. Make sure to check out the exhibits that decorate the tavern on the ground and first floors, and to have a refreshing drink on the terrace in the afternoon.
