Try over 100 regional wines

Chianti is a must in Tuscany. It extends from the south of Florence to Siena and its wine, Chianti Classico, is one of the region's best ambassadors to the world (although, in my humble opinion, it is it overrated in both prestige and price). Greve is the first stop in Chianti, and ground zero of the Slow Food Movement (a movement which promotes returning to a traditional form cooking and eating). In the heart of Greve is Le Cantina di Greve in Chianti, where you can try over 100 regional wines and visit a wine museum. The museum, while still rather bland, is better most museums specializing in wine and oil.

An audio guide is needed, and they have them available in Italian and English. La Cantina di Greve itself well worth the visit because it's the best way to taste a variety of wines and olive oils and if any you like any of the ones you try (which I'm sure you will), the prices are more than fair for a souvenir. In addition to wines and oils, they also sell Cantucci al Cioccolato and oenology-related accessories (almost all of which bear the corporate image of Chianti and are quite expensive, but this is Italy, after all!) Highly recommended.
