Fresh fish grilled on the beach. The bars on the beach are an institution in Marbella and frankly, a great pleasure, especially when the summer heat rages. Most are near the old town, in the Playa de la Fontanilla and are quite similar, with tables on the sand and fresh fish at reasonable prices. The local specialty is the "spit" which consists of stringing the fish (usually sardines) on a skewer and putting it on the grill. Fast, simple and natural. And delicious :-) There are five or six bars of this nature on the beach. I recommend that you are simply guided by smell and choose your place on this basis.
