La Alameda

Alameda is one of the most beautiful things to visit in the medieval village of Siguenza for many reasons. It is a beautiful historic garden where oak trees have watched centuries go by. It is also a key point of connection for the main religious monuments of the city such as the Cathedral (Medieval Market Siguenza), Our Lady of the Orchards Church, Siguenza and San Francisco Convent (Monastery and Church of the RR Ursuline). It is a must, a splendid walk, lectures and parties. If you go back its origins date back centuries and Bishop 1804 Vejarano (which had it built). As a historic village, Siguenza and its gardens were, in the nineteenth century interviewed and honored by important personalities such as Emilia Pardo Bazan, Jose Ortega y Gasset, Miguel de Unamuno, Count of Romanones (which held some other Council Ministers there).
