touch of luxury and decadence
Everything in this place gives off a touch of luxury and decadence of better times. The so-called "world's most beautiful Casino" transports you to Marlene Dietrich's films ;-)). The impressive Casino and surrounding area offers one of the most famous views in Baden Baden. We were lucky our visit coincided with the gastronomic and folkloric party which gave it a point "rogue". The outside is packed with people of all social classes like in the film world and inside is alll the glamour a place like this deserves. Admission is free, but you can't take photos or record, men are made to wear a jacket and tie if they aren't wearing one.
You can imagine the appearance if, like us, you turn up in sports clothes in the summer ;-)). A beautiful place full of anecdotes and stories, where belle époque breathe on all sides and where if you pay a lot, you also discover some of the past and present history of Germany. We have enjoyed it a lot, especially with outdoor party full of smells and tastes and above all, a lot beer! Ahhh and if you like sport, coming here is a good choice to see the latest toys ... if, Baden Baden smells and paste oozes, not exactly Italian ;-)))
