Krispy Kreme
I had always been a faithful Dunkin Donuts customer, especially since I knew I could get exactly what I wanted there all over the world. While this summer in Lexington, some friends told me about Krispy Kreme, and through Richmon Road, just saw the light indicating that the oven had just dinged. The smell of the freshly baked goodness enticed me to enter right away. "sell like hotcakes" is certainly true in this case. We bought ourselves a box, so we had not only for tea but for breakfast the next day. My son had a blast, he ordered the donut shaped American football, and was, he says, delicious! The place has a history.
It all started 70 years ago, when a French chef devised the recipe. The first store was opened in North Carolina and has begun to expand worldwide. It also has a souvenir shop area where they sell mugs, shopping, t-shirts, etc..
