While Kuta is full of luxury hotels, it also has some very nice places for backpackers, and Komala Indah II (the I is similar but more expensive) is one of the best options. For just 5 € you get a bungalow with a private terrace (clean and comfortable), with breakfast in the dining room that is situated in the beautiful gardens.
