Ko Poda

One of the most interesting day-trips we took in Krabi was to Koh Poda. We hired one of those photogenic long-tail Thai boats and went on an hour-long journey to Koh Poda. Even the trip there is spectacular...you go through the area around Krabi and the rock formations and jagged islands and are just tremendous. One of the island's best beaches is right in front of one of these rock formations, one that I'd estimate was over 100ft. high. It makes Koh Poda a really almost otherworldly place. One of my favorite day-trips from Krabi is this set of islands known as Koh Poda which is about 2 miles away from the Railay beach. As you can see, the sand and the water are beautiful. They just call you to dive on in and relax! It is also a very nice place to snorkel since the fish are close to shore and there are many rocks around. It's not a long trip, but it is worth spending a morning in this area. I feel really lucky to have gone. You won´t regret going!
