Kodiak State Fair

All states have what is called a State Fair. In Kodiak it is held in late August or early September and is an opportunity for the whole town to come together and share things like recipes, vegetables, animals and typical Alaskan handicrafts. At the Kodiak fair there are always concerts and riding competitions. It's worth going to see the things on offer and eat the delicious local food.
