Old City Cemetery

I love cemeteries, especially this one because I have family buried here. This small cemetery is in the center of Kodiak and most of the graves are marked with Russian Orthodox crosses. It became a cemetery in 1868 and the first people who were buried were American soldiers who fought for Alaska. At that time Alaska was not a state, it was a U.S. territory.
