Francisca
Modernist
This beautiful cinema was designed by Edwin Maxwell Fry, one of the co-producers of Le Corbusier and the architect in charge of the overall planning of Chandigarh. This building, built in 1953, was the city's first non-residential construction. For its modernist style, the architect linked the movement of nature with the concept of entertainment, which is personified by the installation of a cinema in this rationalistic city.
