Kiosk of the Park

The official name is Plaza March 31 but the locals call it "The Park." The main plaza of San Cristobal de las Casas has been the center of civic activities, the market and the local water supply (because of the fountain) since colonial times. Today a kiosk from the twentieth century is still part of the social activity of the city. In the bottom there´s a cafe where you can enjoy the nice view and enjoy the marimba music that you´ll hear from the live shows above -- the Marimba del Kiosco de San Cristobal de las Casas.
