An unforgetable show of dance and expression

Excellent

The theater is in Fort Cochin. Kathakali is a dance style in the classical theater of Kerala. The dancers/actors act the scene through a language of dance steps, mudras and facial expressions. What brings out the beauty is makeup and the harmony between music and gesture. The show lasted an hour and a half and is worth seeing. In the 1st part they tell a story. They show different facial expressions, happiness, sadness, surprise, etc.., They show the different mudras and then the work begins. The 2nd part is a martial art display, the Kalaripayattu, they explained that predates all oriental martial art.

And finally it ended with another event, they are removing costumes and explaining more closely the process of the dress. The actor as seen in the photos are exhausted, the pace is frenetic and there are drums as the event progresses. Once the work ends, we went by the museum, where they explain and play each of the instruments used in both works as popular acts. They looked after us at all times. When you go to buy tickets, they charge if you take photos and / or videos are 50 rupees. Hope you enjoy!
