Pleasant little kasbah for an afternoon walk
While Tifoultoute is definately not one of Morocco's most grandiose kasbah's (that title would have to go to the spectacular Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou), it does make for a nice visit in Ouarzazate, especially if you're staying at the La Palmerie Campsite a bit outside of town near the palm grove (something I'd recommend...it's the best place to stay in Ouarzazate and also one of the most affordable).
The kasbah is basically in ruins on the edge of the road running between the Tarmigte Rural Community and the palm grove. It' nice because there aren't any visitors and you can walk among the ruins and explore at your own pace. There might be some neighborhood kids there trying to show you around (for money of course), but they're harmless and a smile, some jokes, or even a stick of gum will keep them at bay! You can explore the kasbah at your leisure and make your way to the top to take in some excellent views of the palm grove.
