Karakorum

Uno de los principales destinos si vas a hacer un tour por Mongolia. Es Karakorum, sitio obligado para parar y disfrutar de los paisajes de la estepa mongola y sobre todo empaparte de cultura, ya que, Karakorum es la antigua capital del país. En tiempos de Ghengis Khan esta ciudad estaba completamente amurallada por cientos de estupas blancas, (que aun siguen en pie) y en su interior se encontraba una gran polis que arrasaron los rusos en la época Soviética. Hoy en día quedan en pie las estupas y varios templos que quedaron intactos. Para mi el gran atractivo es su situación. En medio de km y km de praderas con un cielo exhento de polución. Una verdadera pasada como comprovareis en las fotos. Kharakorum también consta con dos otras atracciones aparte de la antigua capital del reino de Ghenghis, estas son, las dos tortugas de piedra y el pene de piedra. Estas esculturas milenarias simbolizan la longevidad y la fertilidad respectivamente y una de las tortugas (hay 2 en esa zona) esta en lo alto de una colina, que os recomiendo que subais siguiendo las indicaciones de algún nómada de la zona. Desde allí veréis un paisaje imrpsionante que veréis en las fotos.
