Kalambaka

Kalambaka is a village that you have to pass by when visiting Meteora. It's 2 km from Kastraki and like the latter, it's not well known by tourists since they go to ​​visit Meteora and don't stop to see other places. The views in this town are wonderful, but there are also places in the village that are of great interest. The main square is called Plateia Dimarchiou, and from there, all the streets of Kalambaka lead out. The best known are Rodu, Trikala, Ioanninon, Kastrakiou and Vlahavas. The houses are very simple and many of them have stables and a small orchard with all kinds of vegetables.
