Kafe Antzokia

The Antzoki is a classic of Bilbao nights. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with concerts and other quality spectacles, it becomes the most frequented place in the capital. It’s its only downside because, especially on Saturdays, it can get overcrowded with people. Even so it’s worth it.

The music is varied: from reggae to punk to classics to commercial, such as Shakira. They have a lot of music in Basque, all kinds of styles, from classics like Sarri Sarri to songs of young artists such as Sorkun.

The entrance is free and the drinks are reasonably priced. By day they have a menu which is very nice and good priced; the cafeteria has wifi.

It’s a much frequented place in the nights of Bilbao. There isn’t a night without a good atmosphere and a great DJ playing the best contemporary music.

Aside from being a place where young people go to when they want to party, there are also many kinds of concerts, from Basque music to reggae, from morning to dawn.

The place transforms many times in one day: from breakfast, with coffee and pinchos, to the noon menus and the coffees and beers served in the evening. Meanwhile, others prepare the place for the night.

In the past, the entrance used to be free at night, but now they charge about 10 euros.

The Kafe Antzokia is one of the most emblematic bars of the city of Bilbao. It’s located in the center of Bilbao, behind Gran Vía, crossing the gardens of Albia.

The place has the structure of an old theater, with a stage, seats and boxes in the upper part.

They offer concerts and activities related to the Basque culture and the promotion of euskera. They also serve food and in weekends it becomes a bar (open until 5 am). Its amazing!
