Jotunheimen National Park

In Norwegian Joutenhem means something like the "home of the giants" and this is where some of the fiercest creatures in Norse mythology live. It's not surprising. Given the wild landscapes and harsh weather conditions it's no wonder these creatures live in this area. There are mostly mountains concentrated here that are over 2000 meters high, although it may seem like you're at a low altitude, 2000 meters at that latitude is serious stuff. The weather can change at any given moment and you can find yourself in sub-zero in any season, including summer. This park is in itself a real magnet for lovers
