Large esplanade
In the port of Gdynia, a large esplanade and a the end you can see 2 monuments, one is a memorial to the sailors who died at sea and the other is the monument to Joseph Conrad, a Polish novelist that adopted English as a 2nd language. He was orphaned very young and therefore decided to join the Navy. He travelled as a sailor from one place to another and began to write. Although he died in England, he built this monument in Gdynia for being a writer and lover of the Polish Navy.
