Legacy of the Jewish people in Segovia
Like many medieval towns in Spain, Segovia has a Jewish quarter (juderia) in its oldest part. There's not much to see apart from the remains of the three synagogues and some commemorative plaques, but it's interesting to visit this centre, which serves as the museum of the district. It stands in the house that was occupied by Abraham Seneeor, a famous Segovian who converted to Judaism. You can learn a lot here about a particularly dark part in Spanish history, when the Jewish and Muslim communities were expelled in the sixteenth century. Access costs 1.50.
