Very near Saint Denis Avenue is the Jean Talon market. It is an outdoor market that is open every day and sells all kinds of vegetables, fruit, plants and flowers. The produce is spectacularly presented.
This is the 1st place I go when I visit Montréal. I love the fresh fruits, vegetables, handmade soaps and the stores around the market.
It is not as big as you can imagine but it is worth the visit. There's a Mexican food place full of delicious food. Try to arrive early in the morning because past 12pm it gets really crowded.
