An afternoon in Jarandilla
Once a part of Lusitania, Jarandilla de la Vera is one of the most picturesque villages in the region. It’s wedged between mountains and gorges and is located in a privileged natural environment. The river gives the town a lot of life and the townsfolk gather on the shores to chat, take a walk, or simply enjoy the views.
In Jarandilla, there’s a lot to do. You can visit the countryside, the monuments, the Castle of the Counts of Oropesa (now a Parador) or the Parral Bridge built by the Romans. For fans of hiking, there are several routes you can do: the Bridge Route, the Jaranda Bridge
