Jagatnata Temple (Pura Jagatnatha)

4 reviews of Jagatnata Temple (Pura Jagatnatha)

built entirely of out of white coral

The Pura Jagatnatha temple is especially dedicated to Hang Sang Widi Wasa and is the only temple dedicated to just one God. This highlights the Padmasana or central altar that is dedicated to Siva. It is built entirely of out of white coral. It is also home to the turtle Bedawangnala and the two snakes Naga which symbolizes creation.

Temple City.

As always, in Bali, surprises await around every corner. Here in the heart of Denpasar, the capital of the country, which is not, and should look like sisters, giant Indonesian capital. It is true that the essence Balinese, his personality, his spirituality, I do not allow them to even think about being part of the maelstrom of the great metropolis, skyscrapers (there is not one in Bali, even hotel). They prefer rightly enjoy daily, unhurried, meditating and praying, making offerings in special places like this temple city. And that was, like many temples on the island, built in the 1970s in a constructive religious furor in honor Widhi Sang Hyang Wasa, the supreme God, for which there is, as in most of the temples , a large rock seat occupied at times when it is honored. The temple is famous because at full moon and new believers were filled to overflowing, as in Kajeng Kliwon, which falls every 15 days in the Balinese calendar. As well as most of the sanctuaries of the island, the typical clever for us will be charged a temple for the visit and accompany us reciting a litany learned English by repeating the same while gradually leads us to someone who casually original Balinese calendars sold. Needless to say that we should not even give credibility to this kind of business, but with all education, leave the sash, to thank and leave behind this beautiful temple, white and surrounded by a small pond in the center of the city.

A Pure Denpasar

Un Pura di Denpasar

Excellent
This temple is enclosed within a fence and a brick wall, and when we found ourselves in Denpasar, it was unfortunately not possible to visit it. The building is located in front of the public gardens of the city and you can not go wrong. The Balinese architettuta is present throughout the island but in towns like Denpasar are even more obvious peculiarities that distinguish it. For more information about the temple and times of visits, contact the tourist office of the city.

Discovery of a oasisis

Découverte d'une oasisis

Un magnifique temple ... Facile a trouver...
A magnificent temple ... Easy to find ... The great sadness is that the Balinese tourist is sometimes too eager, so forget the time, enjoy and agree who will tell you the story of Bali ... You'll see her smile and be huge and his eyes shine, it will offer you good luck and joy .... Good discovery
